Facing the challenges in life.
A lot of people find it difficult to grow up, a lot of people find it difficult to see the adult side of things, rather they often like to look at things from a child’s perspective from a childish view which is incorrect. I only say incorrect because I’m being real, when making a decision I may regret that POV always comes in handy, but my future? Come on, we have to be practical. When I’m asking myself where I envisage myself in about the next 10 years is not on the same level as someone else’s image of their achievements. When I think of the road ahead I see myself with a job, the job of my dreams, I see myself thriving. Shockingly, I already know what I wanna do and to have my life set out like this may not be the best idea moving forward but it’s also the best way to grow up, to be able to see things from a different perspective you’ve got to prospectively say “because I’m still young so I can still look at things from a childish perspective and understand why people my age would not see things the way I do but I can also look at things from the adult perspective and see things that I don’t see as a child”. Saying this essentially shows that your views may not be accurate but they’re as insightful as your age will permit. How you envision your success is how you envision your life today, and that is how you will succeed tomorrow. I want to be great therefore I don’t put people on the same pedestal as me. I see the difference in me when I compare myself to the people that surround me, although that may not be wise. Surrounding yourself with people that do not strive to do better each and every day makes you feel better than them, superior to them, which is bad. In my opinion I think that you should always be around people that challenge you to do better, always be around people that you constantly have to keep looking over your shoulder just to make sure that you’re not losing and that’s the best part, the excitement and always wanting to do better also comes with a disappointment when you haven’t hit your goal but the disappointment shouldn’t arrive very often as because you’re being challenged you always strive to do more, to be more. In my opinion I think that you should always be around people that challenge you to do better, always be around people that you constantly have to keep looking over your shoulder just to make sure that you’re not losing and that’s the best part, the excitement and always wanting to do better also comes with a slice of disappointment when you haven’t hit your goal. Disappointment should never be consistent, otherwise you're overdoing it, you’re below people within your expertise, but to you that would seem improper, as those are the people that surround you, per your choice, that you choose to interact with. What I’m basically saying is that, you’ve chosen a certain demographic to surround you constantly, so if you’re not learning something from them or showcasing constant improvement you need to re-evaluate your group. A word to the wise is enough - Miriam.
